Bob Dylan, the beloved and iconic American musician, became the very first singer-songwriter to be awarded the Nobel Prize of Literature. This announcement has been received with both great praise and great criticism. Our personal belief is that Dylan is certainly a musician but his popularity never came from his ability to play a guitar solo or wow a crowd with his harmonica abilities, but rather in his ability to write lyrical poetry. When people think about Dylan, they think about his lyrics, how they shaped a generation, and also simply how they have touched their lives. Is it possible some writers are just a little jealous? What say you? While you think it over, go ahead and listen to these two great videos of Dylan below.
