The LOCKN’ Guitars

Starting today, the third annual Lockn’ Music Festival will take place at the Oak Ridge Farm in Arrington, VA. As the past two years have proved, this is not your ordinary music festival. There are once in a lifetime collaborations and reunions that only seem to occur during this magical weekend. Well, to make the festival even cooler, each year a pair of guitars are passed along to many of the legendary artists, who then put their signature to each guitar. Here is an example of just how legendary the guitars became in the second year of the festival.
The next year (2014), the guitars featured the signatures of even more Rock N’ Roll Hall of Famers. Tom Petty, Steve Winwood and Willie Nelson… all on one instrument. As well as Phil Lesh, Bill Kreutzmann, Grace Potter, Jeff Tweedy, Gary Clark Jr. and on and on. A set of four posters – one from each day – was also signed by each day’s performer. Once again they were auctioned to support all the charities on Participation Row. The poster set actually fetched the highest price tag $16,500. But the guitar auction was the stuff legends are made of.
We wonder what lucky fan will take home this year’s guitar selections and which famous artists will pen their names on the now legendary Lockn’ guitars.
