The future of Bono’s guitar playing

As you all may know, lead singer of U2, Bono, suffered a life-threatening bicycle accident nearly a year ago that left him with many broken bones and fractures all over his arms, shoulders, face and hands (OUCH!).Well, as a result, the singer and rhythm guitar player was understandably pessimistic on his chances of ever playing guitar again. Unfortunately, the news hasn’t gotten any better since the accident.

Speaking to the New York Times in April, the Irish rocker explained he was still experiencing difficulties with his hand.

He said: ‘It feels like I have somebody else’s hand. I can’t bend these [fingers], and this is like rigor mortis. But they say that nerves heal about a millimeter a week, so in about 13 months I should know if it’s coming back.

Hopefully, things start to turn for the legendary Irish rocker in the next few months. Wishing you all the best, Bono! To read more about Bono’s current health, head over to the Daily Mail.
