Les Paul, the famous innovator responsible for the legendary line of guitars that bears his name and the man many credit with responsibility for inspiring their musical careers would have celebrated his 100th birthday June 9th. in honor of this occasion, a veritable who’s who of guitarists form practically all walks and all styles of music showed up tp pay tribute and celebrate the man who was rock and roll.Among the events was an all-star show featuring Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, Neal Schon, Joe Bonamassa, Warren Haynes, Steve Miller, G.E. June 9 was also declared Les Paul Day, and Les Paul’s Big Sound Experience opened its doors to the public on 44th and Broadway right inside Times Square. The 53-foot interactive state-of-the-art mobile touring exhibit gives guests the opportunity to experience 1,000 square feet of music exploration, sound and technology innovations and hands-on interactive entertainment. Visitors will even be able to mix and share music as they discover Les Paul. Best of all, it’s free!This video is epic and filled with so many greats its not even funny.
